Spears are long, two-handed melee weapons found in Diablo III. It's known that only some characters can use these large weapons; [[Barbarians]] certainly, but probably not [[Wizards]] or [[Witch Doctors]]. [[Monks]] were said to be unable to use them at one point in early 2010, but later that year Monks were supposedly capable of using such weapons.

==Throwing Spears?==
It's not known if throwing spears, such as javelins or glaives, will return in Diablo III. None have yet been seen in the game.
