'''Leah''' is a beautiful young beautiful woman, daughter of [[Pablo DeSoto]]. She appears to be [[Deckard Cain]]'s adopted daughter and assistant in Diablo 3, and will likely appear . She appears as an [[NPC]] in the game, traveling with and assisting the character and taking on a more active role than the aged, infirm Cain could realistically manage. She was also the narrator of and appeared in the Diablo III introductory cinematic, though it's not known if she'll continue that role in the final game [[cinematics]].

She was also mentioned as a companion of Deckard Cain in the first gameplay trailer, released at the Paris WWI in 2008, with the game's debut. In that gameplay movie, when the [[Barbarian]] rescues Cain, he tells Cain to hurry back to the village since Leah worries about him.
Leah is referred to (not by name) was seen, wielding a bow and arrow, beside Cain in one screenshots of the writings of [[Abd al-Hazir]]. The narrator of those writings met Leahs' father, [[Pablo DeSoto]]Caravan town area, in the village of [[Wortham]] while investigating the [[Gnarled Walker]]sAugust 2010. Both are standing in a shadow near the camera, but her costume corresponds very well top of the screen in the images; a cropped version is seen to the concept art of Leah seen in right, with the Blizzard Museum at BlizzCon 2009levels turned up to make them more visible.
