Swords are a type of melee weapon in Diablo III. They can be found in one-handed and two-handed varieties. As in Diablo II, [[daggers]] are their own type of item, rather than a subset of swords.
No specific stats or names of swords have been released yet, but a full listing will be compiled as soon as the information is made available.
It seems that swords will not be a very common item in Diablo III: [[Barbarian]]s seem more tuned towards [[axes]] or [[hammers]], while [[Monk]]s, [[Wizard]]s, and [[Witch Doctor]]s are not likely to use swords at all.
