When the [[Prime Evils]] were exiled from [[Burning Hells|Hell]] into the Mortal Realm by , Baal is described to be brutish, but in the [[Lesser Evils]] a group opening Lord of mages brought together by the [[Archangel]] [[Tyrael]] organised themselves as the [[Horadrim]] and in order Destruction cinematic, he seems to defeat them be rather playful and bind them to [[Soulstone]]s which were provided by Tyraelsly.

They called themselves the essence of Baal for very long[[Horadrim]].
Realizing thatAfter finding and capturing [[Mephisto]] in [[Kehjistan]]'s jungles, Tal Rasha theorized that a mortal of strong will should be able to contain Baal within his own soulburying him under what later became [[Kurast]], dooming that man to wrestle with the demon for all eternity. Tal Rasha volunteered himself for Horadrim chased Baal across the process, guided by Tyrael, Jered Cain and his fellow Horadrim were led ocean to a secret tombthe Western continent, one of seven tombs located in to the [[Canyon of the MagiAranoch]], there they had built a great binding stone, and chained their leader to itdesert. After being bound to the stoneTal Rasha presumed Baal was heading north toward [[Scosglen]], but mysteriously the fragment of demon changed its path and took refuge within the Soulstone containing Baal was pierced through the chest desert city of Tal Rasha by the Archangel Tyrael, thus completing the prison, dooming Tal Rasha to struggle for eternity against Baal[[Lut Gholein]].
In [[Diablo II]] the [[Dark Wanderer]] and [[Marius]] find [[Tomb of Tal Rasha|Tal Rasha's tomb]]. Tyrael stops ordered his team to hold the Wanderer from reaching attack and to patiently await for Baalto continue his escape. Three days later, however, Marius ends us removing the stone from Tal Rasha's chest and releases Baal. He is still in possession of Tal Rasha's body allowing him access fled Lut Gholein heading to all of Tal Rasha's power and knowledge. At the End of Act Vnorth, as Tal Rasha's body is presumed to be destroyedhad predicted.

It would appear that Baal acquired Tal Rasha's intelligence , since in the [[Sin War Trilogy]], Baal is described to be brutish, but in the opening Lord of Destruction cinematic, he seems to be rather playful and sly.
==Other NPC's opinions==[[The SummonerArchangel]] lauds Tal Rasha Tyrael appeared before the men and calls him "led them toward seven ancient tombs deep in the desert. There the foremost" of all men were instructed to build a binding stone etched with runes of containment. They magically crafted unbreakable chains to secure the binding stone to the [[Horadrim]]chamber's walls. Similarly on Tal Rasha ordered to be chained and bound to the eve of stone. To everyone's astonishment, Tyrael jammed the final battle with [[Baal]]-cum-shattered Soulstone into Tal Rasha's chest, [[Deckard Cain]] makes clear allowing Baal's spirit to flood into his respect body as host, thus completing the prison, dooming Tal Rasha to struggle for the sorcerer:eternity against Baal.
"Remember this: Baal once possessed Tal Rasha, one of the most powerful of the ancient Horadrim. Your battles with Diablo and [[Mephisto]] will pale in comparison to your battle with Baal. Two other Act II NPC's are not quite so supportive of Tal Rasha's decision however[[Image:Wanderer. jpg|thumb|right|300px|[[Tyrael]] & the [[FaraDark Wanderer]] tells us that "his was a selfless actbattling.]]The other six tombs became resting places for other powerful Horadrim mages, although perhaps foolhardy." and acts to some degrees as decoys in the [[LysanderCanyon of the Magi]], seeing the evil which plagued {{iw|Lut_Gholein Lut Gholein}} muses that Tal Rasha's battle against evil was lost.

By the time the [[Dark Wanderer]] had reached [[Baal]]'s prison, the demon had long since taken full control of the ancient mage, absorbing all his skills.
In [[Diablo II]] Act III a cinematic titled [[Mephisto's Jungle]] plays the arrival of the [[Dark Wanderer]] and [[Marius]] to [[Tomb of Tal Rasha|Tal Rasha's secret tomb]] within the [[Canyon of the Magi]]. Below is the transcript of what happens:

A few miles into the desert, the adventurers caught up with Baal and attacked him. The demon unleashed the fury of his powers upon the men. The earth exploded under them and swallowed many men. Fire erupted from the broken earth burning everything and everyone on its path.

In a desperate attempt, Baal hurled a spell at Tal Rasha unsuccessfully. Unharmed, but at a price, Tal Rasha rose from the earth to find the Soulstone given to him by Tyrael had shattered into small shards. The men pressed their attack and defeated Baal. Tal Rasha walked toward Baal's battered body and slashed his throat jamming the largest Soulstone shard into his open wound. Baal's spirit was sucked into the shard, trapping the demon.
As Baal was defeated at the [[Worldstone]], Tal Rasha's body is presumed to be destroyed.
