Fallen Shaman return in Diablo 3, their ability to resurrect their kin intact. They also boast improved offensive capabilities, and cast fireballs more quickly and with greater accuracy. The Shamen are no longer the only higher level Fallen, and have been joined by Fallen Overseers, and perhaps other yet to be revealed Fallen types.

Behavior
The As in Diablo 2, the Fallen Shaman always spawn with a number of minions. They are said to retain their ability to resurrected dead often found with a pack of Impss, who they can resurrect when they perish in battle. They might have other crowd control skills not been seen healing Imps, but this may also be within their power. Shaman also appear with Fallen Hounds as well. They do not seem able to resurrect these dog-like units, but with other higher level types of the dogs are larger, tougher, and much more dangerous than the Fallen in Diablo IIIImps, so even with just one life to give they are generally an upgrade over the shaman may be purely a healing/resurrection unitImp units.
::If Fallen Shaman - Fallen shaman priests lead camps of fallen. I have also heard it rumored that other crowd control abilities, they possess the ability to raise imps from the dead! not yet been seen.xml
It's not known if they Fallen Shaman have improved offensive abilities in Diablo 3, and can still shoot hurl fireballs, but it seems likelyat much greater rates than they could in Diablo 2. They are armed with a long dagger as well as their stavesIf they possess other improved attacks, so it seems likely that they still possess their melee stabbing attackhave not yet been seen in action.
