[[Molten]] is a property that adds fire damage (and presumably fire resistance) to monsters, much as Fire Enchanted did in Diablo 2.
* Full list of Diablo III [[Boss modifiers]].
In [[Champion]] and Rare monsters and their minions of level 8 and above can be spawned with the Blizzcon 2009 demo this modifier was also seen on some normal monsters; Molten skeletons were seen, trait. Monsters will leave a trail of lava in their wake and characters and they appeared to have their minions will take fire damage addedif they stand in it. From this sighting players speculated that boss modifiers may regularly appear In addition Rare and Champion monsters on normal monstersdying will explode in a ball of fire, adding to their abilitiesdealing additional AOE fire damage. Rather than Diablo 2's Burning Dead skeletons, Diablo 3 might just have regular skeletons with Molten or other boss propertiesTheir minions do not explode on death.
As of Blizzcon 2010, Molten has been upgraded. [[Bosses]], [[Champions]], and their minion packs now generate fire fields under their feet during combat, burning attackers. They also cause fire fields to appear under the feet of their attackers, guaranteeing that players take [[AoE]] fire damage during the combat, no matter how they dart around.
