Daggers are a type of [[~~caster weapon~~Caster Weapons]] in Diablo III. In the game they are their own class of weapons; not just a short type of [[sword]], as was the case in Diablo II.

Currently, only [[Wizard]]s and [[Witch Doctor]]s can use daggers, and as caster weapons, daggers will probably not spawn with +damage and other combat [[modifiers]].
