The runes for Weapon Throw were discussed at 2010. Wyatt Cheng narrated a short video of them in action:
<blockquote>Here we have a skill for the Barbarian called Weapon Throw , allows him to throw a big weapon and this is the Crimson Runerune, it just adds more damage, makes Weapon Throw a kind of one shot skill and then another (Obsidianrune) that let's you throw a hammer that stuns characters which is great for PvP. Another ( Alabasterrune ) that causes confusion which is a good crowd control version and then we have one (Indigorune rune) that ricochets which is good for . Then we thought it would be really cool for the Barbarian to have an ability to throw a corpse (Golden Runerune).</blockquote>
With that said, the rune effects for weapon throw are as follows:<br><br>
* Crimson rune: Increased damage.
Development
In the previous skill system iteration, there were three trees and skills had dependencies, much like in Diablo II. However, as of Weapon Throw was first seen at 20102009 that changed. The Weapon Throw where it was a Tier IV skill used to require points spent into in the Skill Tree, which was a new skill in . At 20092010, after skill trees were removed, Weapon Throw had been moved up to Tier 2, but seemed otherwise unchanged. Currently (OctoberAlthough it was available in the demo, 2010) there are no gameplay reports detailing any usage of this is not the caseskill.
