Tristram

Description
Tristram is a shell of its former self, with some burned down buildings still not removed. A "New Tristram" grew from the shell of the old one, built on the adventurers who seeked the treasures of the Cathedral, but when they left, the new town also lost it's soul.
The wilderness surrounding Tristram is beautiful with lush fields and picturesque rivers. It's located fairly close to the fishing village called Wortham.

Size and Arrangement
The wilderness surrounding Tristram is beautiful with lush fields and picturesque rivers. [http[File://wwwMap-new-tristram.diablowikijpg|thumb|Overhead map.net/Writings_of_Abd_al-Hazir:_Entry_noAugust 2010._0020] ]It's located fairly close not yet known just how large New Tristram is, or how the town and surrounding areas are laid out. The town and a small area leading up to the fishing village called WorthamCathedral were seen in the 2008 BlizzCon demo, but that was a special version of the area, created just for that playable demo. There were no NPC merchants at that time, and no waypoints or other features that will be included in the final game.
The best recent view of the area is seen in the overlay map to the right, from a screenshot revealed in August 2010. That only shows a bit of the Caravan area, and seems to be a WiP, with only the waypoint and stash marked on the map, and the only NPC designation the !, presumably over Deckard Cain. The blacksmith, who the player was talking to at the time of the screenshot, isn't even shown.
