He is believed to have studied [[SkatsimiSkatsim]] i [[magic]] as well as the effect of the [[Prime Evils]] on the realm of [[Sanctuary]]. Finding the book is a quest in [[Diablo II]].  Considering his interest in Skatsimi magic, he could very well have been a member of the [[Taan]] [[mage clan]].
