Hey Zero80
Hey Zero80. Is the "80" because you are born 1980? In that case we are the same age ;) Anyway, I saw your edits, and wanted to welcome you to the wiki community. Even small things like that help the entire Diablo community in the long run. I mean, we need to beat the WoW wiki don't we? ;) --Leord 14:23, 23 October 2008 (CEST)
- Hi, I am born in 80!!!
- I like help in the wiki
- My problem is my poor english. I am from Argentina.
- This wiki are better than wow!!! -- Unsigned Zero80 14:49, 23 October 2008
- Cool! Then we are both children of the 80's =D
- You don't exactly need to be that great with English, I'm Swedish, so second language to me to! =) Sure, I have read a lot of English, but it is something I have learned. Anyway, there is plenty of smaller things that can be done around the wiki with less English skills, such as adding links, or putting the "{{stub}}" tags out.
- Do you know anything about html? Some work is all about knowing a little bit of that and CSS. To some level it's all numbers, but I don't think you're English could be so bad you wouldn't make a good contribution. If you want some help with it, I'm more than happy to assist you =) --Leord 17:18, 23 October 2008 (CEST)
- i know a little about html
- i like help in my free time--Zero80 18:17, 23 October 2008 (CEST)
- That's awesome! Well, for the most part you don't even need html, just adding links and stuff is good enough in most cases. Besides, an article with info in bad English is a LOT BETTER than an article that has no info at all ;) How do you find the "wiki language" with making links, bold text etc? Is the Help section of any use to you at all? --Leord 12:32, 24 October 2008 (CEST)
Your Edits
What are you talking about being bad with English? If it's your second language, and you don't live in a country with other English people like me, you're awesome with the additions! I understand if you copied some of it, but this is exactly what I was talking about! Make edits, and if you feel insecure, Shayagor or someone will go though it and fix the spelling, as they don't have time for much else. It's all about cooperation! ;) --Leord 13:03, 27 October 2008 (CET)
User Page
BTW, you should take a few seconds to write something on your user page. Something like what your name is on Diii.net, where you are from, and what your interests are. In truth, you can write anything there. On mine I have notes for projects, and a list of friends among other things =) You're free to upload images there as well if you want to! --Leord 13:06, 27 October 2008 (CET)
Tyrael / Lore
Hey dude! Great start on the Tyrael stub. I added a little section so new users will have an idea of him and that none know where he is now =) Why are you talking about bad grammar? It was excellent, besides the fact that you need to use "Past Tense" (making the text talk about is as if it was in the past) =) You shouldn't worry to much about. What's your next project? =) --Leord 14:03, 3 November 2008 (CET)
- My next project?? I dont know. I read an article and try to complete with missed links --Zero80 17:44, 3 November 2008 (CET)
- Well, it was just a figure of speech. I know you don't have a "grand project" planned =) I just meant what your thoughts are, and what you'd like to be able to find in the Wiki, when we are getting "done" (we will never be done, but you know what I mean).
- By the way, that's a lot more of nice, useful updates you did. Great that you add and stub. We need to have entries, and then we can fill them out more =) --Leord 11:47, 4 November 2008 (CET)
Forum PM
I sent you a forum PM =) --Leord 14:27, 6 November 2008 (CET)
Ok, I had to remove a lot of the content you added, unfortunately, as we found that it was copy+pasted directly from other sites. The information on DiabloWiki needs to be created by our users. Sorry man =(
I know MedievalDragon loves lore, and he will make sure that we recreate the pages with material written by us (or him, to be exact), and if you think you have the English skills to create an article from that information, you're more than welcome to do it. Some of the items you made or edited are ok though, it was just a number of them that had all or a major portion of content from other sites. Some sites, like "Wikia" are open source, and we are actually allowed to take a lot there, but as a principle, we like to have content made by ourselves.
No worries, you haven't made any huge error, just make sure that the content you put up is made by yourself for the most part =) Now, accept my MSN request, so we can chat properly tomorrow! =) --Leord 19:22, 6 November 2008 (CET)
