Rakanoth is a new character to Diablo, and his title is the Lord of Anguish. His design was originally used by the Blizzard North development team for Azmodan, but was changed at some unknown point in time by the current Diablo III development team.
Not much is known about Rakanoth outside of he is a servant of Azmodan, and will be encountered in Act IV. He serves alongside Cydaea, the Maiden of Lust, and Ghom, the Lord of Gluttony.
