The Lord of Terror, Diablo is the the younger brother of Baal and Mephisto. The three demons are collectively know as the Prime Evils.
History
The ArchAngel Tyreal created SoulStones to imprison the Prime Evils during their banishment to Sanctuary.
The Prime Evils sought to gain control over the powerful resident Nephalem, to be enslaved as weapons in The Great Conflict. During The Sin War, Diablo confronted Uldyssian, displaying the myriad of ever-shifting forms the Prime Evil uses to terrorize.
