Lore
Lyndon is a thief hailing from Kingsport, and a braggart who takes a more humorous approach to the game's setting. Leonard Boyarsky spoke of Lyndon in an interview with FZ.se:[1]
Gear
The followers in Diablo III are much more restricted in what they can equip from what we've seen in the mercenaries in Diablo II: Lord of Destruction.
It is currently unknown what items the Scoundrel can equip, or what the restrictions are. What is known is that each follower can equip two rings, an amulet, a main-hand weapon, with a possibility of an off-hand item such as a shield, varying by follower. Lyndon has only been seen utilizing a two-handed crossbow. Each follower, in addition to the above, also unlocks an item slot at level 25, which will be a unique item gained through completing the follower's storyline. Lyndon's unique item has yet to be revealed.
Like the other followers, the Scoundrel has three tiers of gear progression, which are based upon level. The final tier of armor for the Scoundrel bears remarkable similarity to that of the Demon Hunter at later levels, the main difference being the Scoundrel's manly mustache.
Skills
Much like the player character classes, followers are able to learn a few skills or spells at specific level milestones. Not much is known about the skills, currently, besides their names and when they are unlocked. Players may choose one skill from each tier. Follower skills cannot be augmented nor benefit from runes, and they only have one rank, as opposed to player skills.
As the Enchantress draws many parallels to the Wizard in terms of spells, the same holds true for the Scoundrel, having many similar abilities to the Demon Hunter.
Unlocked at Level 5
or you can do rapid fire that increases DPS (Damage Per-Second),
you can do a crippling shot which will slow your enemies down which for certain builds like the Barbarian where not having to chase things down is very useful,
You can do poison bolt, which has such poison damage over time like the classic rogue-like skill,
Unlocked at Level 10
Bandage -- A healing skill that benefits your character. Triggers automatically your hero's health is below a certain percentage.
They are definitely smarter and use their skills contextually, the Heal for example of both the Templar and the Scoundrel, they will use automatically when you are low health, so you don't have to worry about telling him to heal you or anything like that.
Unlocked at Level 15
Rain of Gold -- Increases gold find.
Unlocked at Level 20
you can take him and use one of his skills that increases your gem and rune find and maybe you want to go on a mission to find better runes for yourself or take on a boss, and you can change it.
Fan Favorite?
Some fans critiqued Kormac as following too closely to the art direction of the WarCraft series, and others commented on the lack of clothing and pop-star sensibilities of Eirena[2]. However, Lyndon seems to draw unanimous approval due, perhaps in part, to his excellently-groomed mustache, armor theme similar to that of the gothic Demon Hunter, and the in-born charisma of a thief.
