Sankekur

Sankekur became Khalim's successor as Que-Hegan, and was thought to be among the most powerful mortals on earth according to Natalya. He was in control of thousands of fanatic worshipers and embodied the Lord of Hatred, himself.

Background

Mephisto used the Compelling Orb to control the Zakarum Priests and their followers (according to Deckard Cain). After his imprisonment Mephisto used his evil corruption on the Zakarum priesthood. Almost everyone was turned by his power except one; Khalim the Que-Hegan at the time.

Mephisto directed the other Council priests kill Khalim and dismember him and scatter his remains across the kingdom. Afterward Sankekur would succeed Khalim as Que-Hegan, and become the embodiment of Mephisto on the mortal Plane.

The corrupted High Council fashioned The Compelling Orb to control the rest of the Zakarum faithful and used their powers to hide the lair of their master from mortals.
