It sounds like a joke. I am amused after reading this article :)

How could Blizzard make a class out of the Dervish? All they got to face Diablo are some beats!

I am realy looking forward to it, if they can realise this idea.

Hehe, it would potentially have been cool. They could have done somethign about it, indeed, lol =) --Leord 19:24, 19 December 2008 (CET)
ArenaNet did a good job in making a Dervish into a class (or rather, Profession, as it's called in GuildWars): Linky. The skill balancer has completely failed to balance the Dervish, though, but that's besides the point now :) --Vipermagi 14:28, 26 December 2008 (CET)
Hehe, lol. Are there lots of Dervish players then? --Leord 14:46, 27 December 2008 (CET)
Kinda. But, you have a base of 4 character slots, and get another 2 per additional campaign you own, so many people have nigh every available profession :) --Vipermagi 20:30, 27 December 2008 (CET)
No more ridiculous than any bard/dancer class in D&D or Final Fantasy (or some other RPGs I could name)... in fact some of those classes turn out to be kinda cool.

Don't underestimate the Bard class, it's well cool in D&D! =) --Leord 15:49, 1 January 2009 (CET)

Doesn't anyone else think that the description "bearded, twirling holy man, dressed as a beggar, wandering the world" fits BOTH the Dervish AND the Monk? Abd al Hazir in his 32nd entry says the Monk is dressed as a beggar, and the Monk's attacks look like "twirling"...

The dervish joke : is Blizzard aiming at the turkish denial market?

Blizzard might still be planning to build a turkish dervish class named "Talaat Pacha class" (Force=1/Dext=1/Armenian Genocide Denial=8). This dancing class would borrow the skills of the thief and the ruffian classes. It could easily change the colour of its dress by sacrificing its allies.
