Bag Slots
Bag Slots
The slots in Diablo III bags work very differently from the inventory slots in Diablo II, as it no longer applies . Diablo III is moving away from the "tetrisTetris-style" inventory of differently different sized items, requiring time to organize the layout in preference for a more World of your loot. As of March 30 style storage system with-diablo-iii-goodies/items fitting into slots, this changed and additional bags increasing the inventory is now divided into three Tabs:storage capacity of each character.
The inventory storage has changed numerous times during development, and will likely change again. The most recent information was released on March 30, 2009, with the Blizzcast #8 . As of that date, a character's storage space is divided into three separate tabs, opened by clicking them below the paperdoll. The three tabs are:
*Large Item Tab/Backpack - Used for large items such as weapons and armor. One large item goes into one large slot. There is space for 12 such spaces, at maximum (once larger bags are found).*Small Item Tab/Pouch - Used for storing smaller things like Runes, Gems, Scrolls and Potions. There are 24 such spaces at maximum.*Quest Tab/Quest chest - Used for storing Quest items. This tab has not been seen opened, so nothing is known about its maximum capacity.
Each Tab will have a bag assigned to it, each bag will have a predetermined number of slots. Players will start with standard bags in each tab, presumably between 6-8 slots in which will likely only hold a small % of the Large Item Tab and 12-16 in maximum possible. (In the Small Item TabBlizzcon build, October 2008, with a slightly different inventory system, new characters had 10 out of a maximum of 30 spaces available. ) As players progress, they will find better larger bags, with a speculated progression rate which add more storage spaces to the inventory. It's not known if one type of 2 slots. (Players start with 6 Large item slots, they bag will later find add spaces to each tab; for instance a bag with 8 Large item might give 6 large slots, and so on.)  Note that slots differentiate between tabs12 small, If or there might be different bags for Example, you have 6 slots in the Large Item Tab, then 12 slots in the Small Item Tab would each inventory tab. Nothing is known about quest item storage limits either; it might be equal necessary to the 6 Large item slots. This is because the slots in the tabs are of different sizefinish a quest or abandon it, so 2 small item slots stacked vertically = 1 large item slot by size.before new quest items could be picked up?
