Key details about the Diablo 3 console. Most of these were revealed at the first public showing of the console in playable form at the PAX gaming show in March, 2013.
The console version Although content is virtually the same game as the PC version. The big changes near-on identical there are a few differences to the interface and controls, with small tweaks to boss battles, camera angle, and some monster behavior. The console will launch in at v1.07 with all the features of the PC game, including added features and systems such as the Infernal Machine, Paragon levels, etc. The developers are committed to frequent console patches, which will run roughly in tandem with patches for the PC/Mac version.note:
<blue>"It’s basically the same. Same XP gain, same enemies. The only tweak we made is since the screen is a little more zoomed in, we slightly changed enemy wave spawns. Boss battles were also changed, in a fun way to accommodate consoles. We did not need to compromise this version in any way."

Some of the key differences between the console version and the PC/Mac version:* Completely redesigned controls and interface to work with thumbpad and stick rather than mouse and keyboardThere is an offline mode.** All characters have a new Dodge ability which utilizes a diving roll effect. This There is to make up for the less precise no-mouse movementAuction House.* Offline play mode for the console. Online play Do not connect via the PlayStation networkBattle.** Characters are stored on your own machine and can be saved on a USB stick and played on a friend's machineNet.* Up to four players Camera is zoomed in a game, linked online via the PlayStation Network, or on the same machinelittle more.** Playing on the same machine does not utilize any split-screen technology; all 4 players are on the same screen and must travel together and work as a groupEnemy wave spawns slightly altered. *** When multiple players are on Movement is direct through the same machine joystick (but not for PSN online party playas opposed to click and move to) loot drops are shared in the Diablo 2 "first grabbed first served" style.* No Auction House (Using Gold or Real Money) Evade skill included for the consoleall characters. Items can be traded and exchanged in-game* Loot drops less frequently but is higher quality.* Better loot, and less junk drops to avoid cluttering the screen in MP games and to make character progression possible without an Auction HouseFast equip option.
Game Modes
==Release Date==As with the PC version the maximum number of players is four. The reasons for this in brief are:
* There is a noticeable impact and contribution from each of the four players.* The Playstation 3 most powerful group Buffs and Xbox 360 versions Auras will not need to be nerfed to compensate for increased numbers simultaneously active. * On-screen noise. More people fill more of Diablo 3 is due for release the screen and create more action on September 3rd 2013the screen at any one time.
Versions=Offline Mode=
It will be released on the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. It will be released on the Playstation 4 also but a release date has not be confirmed for this.
Offline mode allows up to four players to play on the same screen at the same time. There is no split screen. In order to keep the screen as uncluttered as possible each player's on-screen UI is condensed and each one will sit in a corner of the screen.

Characters can be copied to a USB drive and then accessed via another console, allowing gamers to continue playing offline characters at each other's houses. Characters created offline can never be played on the consoles' online services however. In that way it's the same way Closed and Open characters were handled in Diablo 2. It's not known if characters created online can be transferred to offline mode.

Online Mode
Online mode is accessed via Playstation Network or Xbox Live and not Battle.Net. A Battle.Net account is not necessary to play Diablo 3 on a console. Characters created this way will be stored on your cloud storage space or on your console's hard drive. .

Online console characters and Battle.Net characters can not play together.

Auction House
There is no Gold or Real Money Auction House.

As online characters can be stored on the console's hard drive there would be security implications in allowing items to be bought by other players. There is no way to validate the items are not duped or altered in some way and so the trading environment would quickly descend to what we see in Diablo 2. The economy would be undermined and duped or hacked items could also disappear leaving players out of pocket and Blizzard inundated with claw-back claims.
