Recipes list the ingredients required to engage Blacksmith Plans and Jeweler Designs are recipes that allow the various two artisans in crafting to craft items for you in Diablo III3.
Recipes are a way Artisans learn recipes through training up through levels of proficiency from level 1 to 10. Each level grants access to make potentially very good recipes for higher quality items. Training artisans costs gold and higher levels of training will also cost Pages of Blacksmithing, using raw Pages of Jewelcrafting obtained by , Tomes of Blacksmithing items in the Salvage Cube. Unwanted items must be broken down in this fashion, Tomes of Jewelcrafting and the materials used for crafting. Whether a player will gain more from salvaging items, or selling them for gold, depends on the item and the needs Tomes of your character. Secrets
The highest quality recipes can be found as loot from monsters or from breakable objects and given to the artisans to train. They are not account bound so they can be sold or given away.
==Crafting Items==Once the artisan has learned a recipe all characters on your Diablo 3 account will have access to it as your artisans are shared.

This For your artisan to craft from a recipe would make an Empowered Long Axe; a decent weapon for a low level Barbarian. Crafting items requires the right he has learned he will need materials; in this case 6 common scraps, 1 bone, and 200 gold. Materials are obtained from materials, If you have what is required in your backpack you simply click Craft Item in the artisan's interface and the raw ingredients obtained by salvaging items in artisan will do the salvage cuberest.
All crafting recipes are semi-random in Diablo III; the base item is known, but there are always some random properties, as shown on this axe. Higher quality recipes have some preset modifiers, plus several random onesA recipe never fails to craft.
The end gameBlacksmith mixture of items is intended to include some rares, some legendary items (uniques) and some crafted items, so Jewelers designs differ slightly in that the best crafting recipes will have the potential Jeweler combines lower quality gems to create truly uber items. It will take many, many tries to get one, higher quality gems so you are aware of course, with what the numerous random properties turning this into a form of semi-directed gamblingend product will be.
Blacksmith Plans do not reveal all attributes of the finished item but the recipe does tell you how many bonus attributes the item will have. In that sense there is an element of gambling attached each time you craft the item. If the bonus attributes aren't to your liking the Blacksmith can Salvage the item back into materials or you sell it to a vendor or in the Auction House.

Many recipes are inherently known to the Artisans. They know some to start with, and add more each time they level up. Each artisan must be trained multiple times per level, increasing in amount and cost per level. In addition, the player must also provide the artisan with a Tome of Training (or another similarly functional item later in the game, and in higher difficulties) in order to train the artisan further. Using the tome during the training process also teaches the artisan new recipes.
Other recipes though, the ones that can make the best items in the game, must be learned from special scrolls which are found from monster drops. These scrolls, when given to the appropriate Artisan, will teach them how to make that new recipe. There may be other ways to obtain recipes, such as quest rewards, but any more information on that is currently unknown. ==Known RecipesGallery== The only known recipes are some Blacksmith Recipes shown in the Caravan video, from August 2010, and some lower-level recipes from the beta. Most of these are known only by their names, but the ingredients required for a few of them are known, and even the end product for one.
