'''Caltrops''' is a Defensive [[Demon Hunter skill]] unlocked at [[clvl|Level]] 4. The Demon Hunter lays a trap of caltrops on the ground that right at her current location. The trap lays dormant until a monster comes near, at which point it activates when , creating an effect (which varies with the runestone) which debuffs any enemy approachesthat enters the area of effect.  There is no limit to how many Caltrops you can drop, slowing all nearby enemiesother than that provided by running out of [[Discipline]]. The effect of multiple Caltrops does not stack, so there's no point in casting two that close together, though it can be very useful to spread multiple traps around to increase the area of effect
