Wave of Force is a Force Wizard skill unlocked at Level 9, creating a force wave from the Wizard, repelling enemies and projectiles.
Skillrune Skill Rune Effects
The following is a very quick summary. See the Wave of Force rune effects page for a more thorough description of rune effects, or any of the individual rune pages for numbers, screenshots, blue quotes, and much more.
Synergies
Wave of Force was available at 2009, where it lost a little bit of damage and had a lot lower mana cost. This skill was also available at 2010, but it wasn't one of the Wizard's starting skills.

Skill tiers were removed for the July 2011 Press Event, allowing skills to unlock steadily from levels 1 to 30. Consequently, all skill levels were adjusted and Wave of Force became a level 4 skill.
Beta
Skill tiers were removed shortly before the beta started in September 2011, and Beta skill notes Wave of Force became a remained at level 4 skillwhen the beta started. Flux thought it fun but still pretty useless in the early game found in the beta:
<blockquote>...it’s purely a support skill in the beta. The long cooldown ensures that, and even if not, the range is fairly limited, compared to your real attack skills like Arcane Orb, Electrocute, and Disintegrate. By the time you get close enough to hit any ranged attacker with Frost Nova or this, your Wizard is getting nailed by all incoming projectiles, not to mention the melee attackers you are running past to get to the back row.</blockquote>
When With the skill system was once again overhauled for the Beta Patch 13 in February 2012changes, Wave of Force was classified as an Arcane skill and moved to level 9. For March's Beta Patch 14, Wave of Force was nerfed slightly, and the "Arcane" category was renamed "Force".
