Monks, where Barbarians, and Demon Hunters can dual-wield some types of weapons, while other classes can equip a second weapon instead of the only use shields or special class-restricted off-hand items. Off hand items can be offensive or defensive, and many of them are class-restricted.
Off hand slot options:
