There is an alternate farming route, shown in the image to the left, but the secondary map tile isn't guaranteed to spawn, and there's no telling which of the two tiles, if any, will spawn the Mysterious Cave.
In either location, straddling the southern border of the zone is the fastest way to find the cave.
