Upon reaching New Tristram, the player may take up a quest to help Haedrigs' WifeHaedrig, who is very sickwhose family has been killed in the initial attack on Tristram. He asks tasks the player with helping him lay his family to venture out into the wild, and see what he can do, as he cannot leave her side while she suffersrest. Upon completion of the Quest, you earn his trust and Haedrig joins the player's [[Caravan]], following him on his journey throughout [[Sanctuary]]. It is unknown if his wife dies, lives or becomes part of the caravan.
