'''Mat Hu-Ring'' is a charachter in [[The Black Road]] Diablo book. He is the childhood friend of the hero [[Darrick Lang]]. As an adult, he serves with Darrick as a member of the [[Westmarch]] Navy.
He dies in the line of duty falling off a cliff in attempt to escape from the demon [[Kabraxis]]. This has a negative effect on Darrick's Mental state.
After his death, he appears as a ghost on at least one occasion to help Darrick.
As he dies before the time of Diablo III it is unlikely, although possible, that he will play a part in the events of Diablo III.
