Fansite

Revision as of 10:52, 12 July 2010 by Leord (talk | contribs)

A fansite is a site dedicated to a specific game, and is a meeting point for fans of the game. This can be everything from a big community fansite with forums, blogs, image galleries, screenshots, artwork, articles, columns and information pages or just a single fan's blog.

Since this is the Diablo wiki, this page is dedicated to Diablo fansites.

Contents

Diablo Sites - English

  • Diablo: IncGamers [1] - Established in 1997. Full fansite with forums, image gallery, articles, columns, blogs, etc. Formerly DiabloII.Net/DIII.Net.
  • The Dark Library [2] - A now defunct site that used to host hundreds of fan fiction stories. Diablo Wiki is trying to help expanding on it by adding stories from their archives to the wiki.
  • ATMA [3] - "A Tenshi Muling Application" - a site that hosts one of the most popular muling programs for Diablo II.
  • DiabloSpot.com [4] - DiabloSpot.com provides news, guides, articles and a weekly video cast about Diablo 3.

Useful Sites

Add a Site!

Anyone is free to add a site at the moment. Right now, we're primarily adding them by English/International alphabetic/chronological order, but this might change to Alexa rating, region/language or similar functionality.

However! There's really no point in adding more red links. If you want to add a page, make sure to make a small entry about it as well. Take Diablo-iii.it as example. It does not have to be extravagant, just a little entry, and then you can add it to the list above, and the navigation box below (just click the [e]). Also, we're not adding direct links to pages from here unless they have at least a small article entry with the basics on the wiki.

A wiki sysop will help you add links to the navbox if you feel confused by the complex code. Rather don't touch it if you feel unsure of what to do.

Contact Leord if you feel unsure.

Guilds

Guilds are generally comprised of a site to host their activities, often refereed to as a fansite. One good example of a long standing Diablo guild is The Holy Knights of Westmarch.

However, see guilds for more information about guilds.
