Movement Ability

A Movement Ability in Diablo III is a skill or spell that allows you to quickly travel from one point on the screen to another. Every class will have a movement ability. They are very likely to be almost a required skill in any PVP build for battling in the arenas.

Movement Abilities by Class

  • Barbarian: Leap Attack. This skill is currently available at clvl 10. It is similar in function to the Diablo II skill.
  • Demon Hunter: Vault. The Demon Hunter can attain this skill at clvl 6.
  • Monk: The Monk's movement ability is not currently known, but it has been suggested that it may be Dashing Strike, available at clvl 10.
  • Witch Doctor: Spirit Walk. This skill is slower than the other movement abilities, but it is just as potent and rich in strategic value. Available at clvl 20.
  • Wizard: Teleport. The Wizard gets the good old mainstay handed down from Diablo I and II. It is available at clvl 26.

LLD Discrepancies

While the clvl requirements listed above are not final, they do reflect a bit of an issue as it pertains to low-level duels, or LLD for short. The Wizard is at the most severe disadvantage as her movement ability is not available until the final skill tier, whereas currently the Demon Hunter gets hers very early in the game. These numbers are all subject to change, however, and time will tell.
