Skill organisation

Nice skill overview updates you made! I'm planning to make each skill into an individual page in the not too distant future. We need to make a good "boilerplate" for them.

Do you know what a wiki template is? I was thinking of making one template for each spell, and then simply link them back to the main skill page, meaning we'd have:

  • Class skill article
  • Class Specific Skill Tree article
  • Skill article (one for each skill)

...and all this without being too much work. Please help me figure out how to do this. --Leord 12:01, 19 November 2008 (CET)

I have not worked with Wiki templates yet, but i have seen such beiing used here already. This would be interesting indeed. The boilerplate concept is quite much of a must :) Sorry if i am slow in response, but work has been hard in the last days. I saw with Teleport, that you have already started with single skill pages. Now what can be done by my to help out here. I have to get a grasp of the wiki template thingy first, which should not be a problem. I am also willing to start filling those skill pages :) --Melianor 21:51, 26 November 2008 (CET)

Notes by Leord

Unlike the skill trees in Diablo II, the trees in Diablo III are not focused on just one aspect of a character. All known D3 skill trees have a wide variety of skills, with more passive than active, and all allow for a variety of play styles. --Leord 11:50, 27 August 2009 (CEST)

All active skills in the BlizzCon 2008 build were capped at 1 rank ("skill levels" in D2), while most passives went up to 15 points. This has since changed as both active and passive skills now allow 5 points, in most cases. --Leord 11:56, 27 August 2009 (CEST)
