The Injured Villager is a human quest NPC near Tristam Cathedral.

The Injured Villager

The Injured Villager is found near the entrance to the Tristam Cathedral. In the demo, 3 zombies were seemingly eating the villager. Once the player killed the zombies, the villager will utter his final words, warning of the Skeleton King's power. The player swears to avenge the villager's death. The line spoken is different, and depends on what class the player is.

It's quite similar to the injured villager of Diablo I, warning about the Butcher.
