Jeff Kang is a Concept/Environment Artist for Diablo III.

Background

Jeff has been a Senior Graphic Designer at LG International, Creative Director at Studio 31, and Concept Artist at Crystal Clear Entertainment. He came to the United States in 2000 and attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, where he earned his Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Computer Arts in 2003.

It seems his initial big foray into the gaming industry as an artist happened in 2004, when he joined Namco-Bandai Games America. At Namco he was Lead Character Artist on Dead to Rights 2. Jeff joined Blizzard some time between 2004 and 2008. At Blizzard, he has been a Concept/Environment Artist on Starcraft 2 and Starcraft: Ghost.[1]

Jeff currently works as Concept/Environment Artist on Diablo III.

Jeff was interviewed by Korean gaming site Gameshot.net at the 2008 World Wide Invitational. He was asked about his life, Blizzard as a company, Korean artists at Blizzard, and his opinion about the Korean games industry (see note below references).

Jeff maintains a personal blog where he has posted some of his amazing artwork.

Diablo III Related Events

Jeff Kang delivered a keynote at KGC 2008.[2] At the presentation, he talked about Blizzard's art philosophy and the direction they were taking with Diablo III.
