Little is known of the plot or settings of Diablo 3.
The action in Act II is set in a desert, and largely centered around the city of Caldeum.
Belial in Act II
Jay Wilson said in an interview:
- Act two's a little bit more of an intrigue and deception-focused story, because Belial is in there.
If he will be an act boss or not is unknown, but seems likely, as Belial is a powerful demon.
Act II Levels
Only small the portion of Act II found in the Blizzcon 2009 demo has been seen or mapped. The full act is much larger than the few levels seen here.
Act II takes place in a desolate desert area called the Borderlands.

Act II Quests
All quests were play tested in the Blizzcon 2009 demo build. There will be many more quests in Act II than the few thus far listed here.
