WarCraft II: Tides of Darkness and Beyond the Dark Portal constitutes the second RTS game Blizzard Entertainment did in 1995, and was continuation of WarCraft: Orcs and Humans.
Players got to see more than just the Kingdom of Azeroth, and play with more races than just Orcs and humans. It continued the growth of the franchise that eventually became World of WarCraft.
The expansion, Beyond the Dark Portal also has strong ties with the WoW expansion The Burning Crusade, as the players go back beyond the dark portal to Outland to fight a demonic army set on invading Azeroth.
