Phroilan (AKA Froilan) Gardner was a Senior Artist at Blizzard and has contributed concept art for Diablo III, and great deal of artwork to World of Warcraft.

He is no longer an employee of Blizzard Entertainment.

Background

Phroi graduated from the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art in 1998 and went on to study 2D and 3D animation at VanArts. He joined Blizzard in May 2002 where he worked on Warcraft themed art and was a concept artist for Diablo III. He left Blizzard in May 2010 and is currently a concept artist at Demiurge Studios.[1]

Artwork

Phroi has a personal blog which he keeps fairly up-to-date with uploads of his artwork.

World of Warcraft: Trading Card Game Art

A number of cards for the World of Warcraft: Trading Card Game (WoW: TCG) have had artwork created by Phroi. He has uploaded high resolution images of several of the pieces that he has done for the card game on his blog. The WoW: TCG Vault has a listing of other cards featuring Phroi's art.

Diablo III Art

Phroi has contributed some incredible concept art for Diablo III. Notably, he has some concept pieces for the Fallen that are attributed to him (the Fallen Shaman and Fallen Overseer), environment concepts (this scene), and an amazing piece for the monk (which made the cover of Hyper magazine).
