The Halls of Agony is a dungeon area within Diablo III that was first seen in the Blizzcon 2010 demo. It is presumably part of Act I, but the name is likely subject to change. The area served as the starting location for players in the PvM demo. Based on the quest information provided in the demo, it is part of King Leoric's dungeon. The Halls of Agony were linked to another area: the Highlands Passage.

Theme/Style

The Halls of Agony dungeon has a distinctive, blood-red color scheme with a host of fiery elements. These elements include metal grates along the floor that spew flames (see the associated images below). Overall, the dungeon has the feel of a torture chamber. Furnaces could also be found built into the walls of the dungeon and served as Monster Generators.
