The Character level or Clvl is the level of experience a character currently has. It usually relates to how much power it has in general, and also how much damage certain skills will deal.
Jay Wilson confirmed there will be 99 levels, and a 100th, just for the heck of it. Exact number of levels has not yes been decided.
