The Injured Villager[edit | edit source]

Wizard talking to the Injured villager

The Injured Villager is found near the entrance to the Tristram Cathedral. In the demo, 3 zombies were seemingly eating the villager.

Once the player killed the zombies, the villager will utter his final words, warning of the Skeleton King's power. The player swears to avenge the villager's death. The line spoken is different, and depends on what class the player is.

It's quite similar to the injured villager of Diablo I, warning about the Butcher.

The poor man starts The Skeleton King quest for the player.
