New Tristram is the second town to spring up near the Tristram Cathedral. The first town, Tristram also known as Old Tristram, was destroyed when Diablo escaped following the events of Diablo I. New Tristram was founded to aid adventurers seeking fame and fortune in the Cathedral. Such adventurers are scarce of late and the town has fallen on hard times. The Meteor and the subsequent rise of the dead have not helped.
New Tristram is the Hub Town for Act I
Note in Adventure Mode, the Jeweler and Mystic move to north of Cain's House. This item needs patch number citation
