The Consecrated Shrine is one of the new class of Super Shrines added in [[Reaper of Souls]]. This shrine provides a 30 second buff that raises a character to their maximum run speed. How much of a bonus this provides depends on the character's equipment and skills, but it is generally a much larger boost than that provided by a Fleeting Shrine.


==Blizzcon 2013 Debut==

The Speed Shrine was first seen in the RoS demo at Blizzcon 2013 and was detailed in an report on Diablo.IncGamers.com[http://diablo.incgamers.com/blog/comments/reaper-of-souls-super-shrines-blizzcon-2013-hands-on-guide]:

::For thirty seconds you run and electrocute anything you move near. And “near” isn’t that near; the range for first strike seemed to be about 30 yards, so every enemy I met died in one or at most two lightning strikes before they were in range of my Crusader. It’s simply awesome to behold, and I laughed for the entire thirty seconds. Unfortunately I wasn’t in an area with a really dense spawn, and I didn’t encounter a boss either, the one time I had this shrine.

::How much damage does it do? Not sure. The damage display numbers weren’t turned on in the RoS demo (and the options menu wasn’t accessible) so I couldn’t compare the damage of the Conduit bolts to my own damage. There’s nothing in the shrine tooltip that hints at damage being higher or lower than your weapon damage either. However, I can say that Conduit was a one or occasionally two shot kill on every trash mob, and those enemies were taking me 2-5 hits to kill with my my basic Wrath-generating skill. ([[Punish]] or [[Justice]] were the options to select from in the demo.)

'''Shrines''' are randomly-located, randomly-spawned objects that characters can click to receive temporary buffs. Shrine effects pass to all players in the area when they are first triggered. All shrine benefits last for 120 seconds, and characters can benefit from multiple different shrines at once. Shrine bonuses and durations do not stack, and hitting a second shrine of the same type will simply reset the time to the full two minute duration.

This new class of shrines provide huge benefits for just 30 seconds. These were first seen in the Blizzcon 2013 RoS demo and may change in function before the game is released.

* [[Conduit Shrine]] - Grants players a zapping electrical property that kills most monsters instantly.
* [[Consecrated Shrine]] - Reduces all cooldowns to zero for 30 seconds.
* [[Power Shrine]] - Grants 400% bonus to damage output for 30 seconds.
* [[Shield Shrine]] - Grants 30 seconds of total immunity to damage and debuffs.
* [[Speed Shrine]] - Movement speed increased to maximum for 30 seconds.
