Leoric's Shinbone is one of the ingredients for the Staff of Herding which grants you access to the secret level Whimsyshire.
Leoric's Shinbone is not required for the console version of the recipe.
It's found in a fire place at Leoric's Manor in Act I. However it does not appear in every game because the burnt logs don't always spawn. The item is obtained by clicking the burnt logs in the fire place within Leoric's Manor which drop the shinbone 100% of the time.
The easiest way to get to Leoric's Manor is to enter Act I on quest 9-The Imprisoned Angel and using the Leoric's Manor Waypoint.
Other Reagents Needed
The other reagents required along with Leoric's Shin bone are:
- Black Mushroom (db)-- Found rarely in a room on Cathedral level one, in early Act One.
- Wirt's Bell (db)-- An Act II vendor (Squirt)sells it for 100,000 gold on her Potions and Dyes tab.
- Liquid Rainbow (db)-- Spawns in the Mysterious Cave in the Mysterious Chest in the Oasis, Act 2. Save Zaven the Alchemist and he will open the entrance to the cave. The chest is located on level one. Liquid Rainbow is not required for the console version of the recipe.
- Plan: Staff of Herding (db)-- To teach the recipe to Haedrig. Drops randomly from Izual, Act 4.
