Blizzard attended Gamescom 2013 headlining with the Playstation version of Diablo 3. They also showcased their unreleased strategy card game Hearthstone:Heroes of Warcraft and the latest build of World of Warcraft, Patch 5.4: Siege of Orgrimmar.[1]
They offered a packed public schedule from Thursday 22nd August up to and including Sunday 25th. Quizes for priczes, WoW leveling competitions, live drawing sessions by artists, signing sessions, Starcraft II pro matches and more.
Diablo 3 Expansion
The Diablo 3 community focus is however on the suspected and hoped for announcement of the Diablo 3 Expansion. Back at the end of July sources from inside Blizzard indicated to IncGamers the distinct possibility of such an announcement. [2] A splash screen intentionally published by Blizzard on 15th August 2013 on the official Diablo 3 website was the first mention of the name Reaper of Souls[3].
Prior to the start of Gamescom 2013 the German ratings board (USK), posted a notice that a trailer for Diablo 3 expansion had received a rating of 12.
