This is a Boilerplate. Only edit this article if you know what you are doing.

Use this boilerplate article as a guideline on how to make Skill articles.

If you have already read all the instructions in this boilerplate, you might find it easier to use the copy+paste article to copy and paste to your new article:

Make sure to read up on the help section, so you know how to properly edit articles before continuing.

First add a brief intro about the article, above all the headlines. Make sure to have the name of the article in the first three words of the first sentence, and bold it. Keep it as short and descriptive as possible. One or two lines of text.

If the article is a fan skill, make sure to add the {{fanmade}} header template (see Template:Fanmade for help). Also add the "|Name_of_author" attribute to give credit to the author, or yourself, whomever originally came up with the idea. Also credit any fan artists that might have helped.

Secondly, under the first headline, update the Skillbox. This one is just here as an example on how it can look:

Background[edit | edit source]

Diablo III Skill [e]
Diablo III Logo.jpg
Disintegrate

Active, 13 ranks

Used by: Wizard
Skill Description:
Emanate a beam of pure energy dealing arcane damage each second. Damage is modified to 80% each time the beam passes through the target.
Skill Details:
Type: Damage
Quantity: 10 damage/sec
Effect: Line
School: Arcane
Mana cost: 15
Cast time: Instant
Duration: None
Cooldown: 1.5 sec
Synergies: None
Requires: Magic Missile
Prereq of: Arcane Torrent

Use this space to fill up with a lore background description of the spell.

Example for passive skill: Studies for a Wizard, in how to increase the efficiency of her spells.

If it starts to become pages and pages, you might want to shorten it and make a new lore article, something like [[Magic Missile (lore)]].

Background can just be a description of the spell from the character's perspective. No "lore" is really needed.

Skill Design[edit | edit source]

Explain the basic design of the skill. Why is it made, what does it do, what motivates it, and how would you describe it best so people understand the fundamentals of the skill? Adding quotes from Blizzard is ok, but better if you write your own.

Feel free to create subheadings if specific topics need extra attention.

Skill Rank Table[edit | edit source]

Put a table of the skill rank and damage/mana/fury per rank.

Only Rank 1 is currently known.

Synergies[edit | edit source]

List and explain other skill's synergies, as well as any items or mechanics that might be particularly popular with this skill.

This does not have to mean "synergies" like in Diablo II, but just other skills, items and mechanics that works in synergy with this skill.

  • None known.

Skill Rune Effects[edit | edit source]

List and explain all known rune effects on skill.

  • None known.

Development[edit | edit source]

Mention when the skill was revealed, and any other changes that has been made to the skill during development. Any general changes to skills concerning all classes you can add to the skills article.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Hide this section unless there really is some trivia about the skill. Add the skill to the Easter Eggs category as well if the article contains Easter Egg information.

Media[edit | edit source]

Use this as-is, but replace appropriate text. Just change "Magic Missile" to the name below to update the gallery links. If the skill has no images in gallery, just hide this entire section.

You can find pictures in the Diablo 3 screenshot and picture gallery:

Related Articles[edit | edit source]

Articles that are related, but not emphasised enough in any other section, or articles that just need further attention.

References[edit | edit source]

Link to the Abd al-Hazir entry here, and/or other sources used to write the article.
