Rumors about a Diablo III secret level began even before the game itself was announced, with fans frequently speculating about what sort of Secret Cow Level we might see next time. It's unknown if the D3 Team had anything in mind in the early days, but shortly after Diablo III's debut, the art controversy kicked up, resulted in various there are no rainbows in D3! jokes, and was picked up and run with by the design team themselves.
==Beta Data Mined Information== SPOILER WARNING Fans digging into the game files included in the Diablo III beta client found numerous references to secret levels and hidden content. AS with all data mined information, it's not known if the following will be in the game in any form. There are also numerous horse-related codewords in the Diablo III game info. Several characters, bosses, (including Tyrael and the Butcher) and items were given such codenames, to preserve their secrecy. Thus some of these horse-related terms that sound like they have to do with a hypothetical secret unicorn level might be included on this list incorrectly. The following are the code names for various events in the game, as they appear in the game files. More information will be added as these terms are decoded. The Act 4 sections are thought to refer to Diablo. A4_1000MonsterFight_Encounter_Name Boss: Battle For Ponies* A4_1000MonsterFight_Taunt_Text The battle for ponies is about to begin.* A4_1000MonsterFight_Join_Instruction {s1} is about to witness* A4_1000MonsterFight_Enter_Instruction You are about to witness* A4_1000MonsterFight_Info_Text The rest of your party will be able to teleport in once you enter* BridlePurpose_Encounter_Name The Pinnacle of Ponies Event* BridlePurpose_Join_Instruction {s1} is about to enter* BridlePurpose_Enter_Instruction You are about to enter* BridlePurpose_Info_Text The rest of your party will be able to teleport in once you enter  * Quest_Act4_PoniessFall_MonkReward Magic Fist Weapon* Quest_Act4_PoniessFall_DHReward Magic Hand Crossbow* Quest_Act4_PoniessFall_BarbReward Magic Weapon* Quest_Act4_PoniessFall_WDReward Ceremonial Dagger* Quest_Act4_PoniessFall_WizReward Magic Wand   Ponies_HopePrison Hope's Prison* PoniesPurificationTimer Purification Timer* Bridle_Ponies Bridle* BridleRitual_Encounter_Name Cells of the Condemned Event* BridleRitual_Join_Instruction {s1} is about to enter* BridleRitual_Enter_Instruction You are about to enter* BridleRitual_Info_Text The rest of your party will be able to teleport in once you enter  Dressage_Encounter_Name Boss: The Larder* Dressage_Taunt_Text Defeat the demon Dressage!* Dressage_Join_Instruction {s1} is about to enter* Dressage_Enter_Instruction You are about to enter* Dressage_Info_Text The rest of your party will be able to teleport in once you enter  TentacleHorse Rainbow Western* Unique_TentacleHorse_A Midnight Sparkle* TentacleHorse_B_Unique Nightmarity* Unique_TentacleHorse_A Nightmare is Magic* Unique_TentacleHorse_B Generosity in Death   ==Rainbow Color Controversy==
Most fans thought Diablo III looked awesome right from the start. A minority of fans weren't so pleased though, and their objections soon crystallized around the idea that Diablo III was "too colorful." No one seemed to object to the monster and character graphics; it was the well-lit, blue/green-tinted dungeons that drew most of the criticism, and some of the too-pretty outdoor scenes.
