BlizzCon is an annual convention hosted by Blizzard and held in the Anaheim Convention Center, near Disneyland in Southern California, about 10 miles from Blizzard's headquarters in Irvine. Blizzard reveals new game content and shows off their upcoming titles with playable demos, as well as offering numerous panels about their games, art displays, live tournaments, and much more.
The first BlizzCon was held in 2005, and was not an overly successful event. After a year off, Blizzcon returned in 2007, with the popularity of World of Warcraft pushing attendance far higher. The show has been held each year since then, with the 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011 shows selling out immediately.

BlizzCon 2011 will take place October 21-22, in the Anaheim Convention Center. The show dates were announced in early 2011, with the ticket sales dates (May 21st and May 25th) revealed[1] in April 2011. Tickets sold out instantly, as they have for every show since 2007.
It's expected that Blizzcon 2011 will focus more on Diablo III than any previous Blizzcons have, with the game set for release in late 2011 or early 2012.
