Blizzard uses cinematics to dramatically present new characters and other game features. Cinematics have a plot and tell a story, rather than just showing gameplay footage.
There will be full quality, pre-rendered cinematics used to tell the story in the final game. Other cinematics, shot using the in-game graphics, have been used to introduce the Wizard and Monk, but will not be seen in the final game.
