After the death of King Leoric, Lazarus emerged from the monastery and whipped the villagers into a frenzy to find Albrecht in a ruse to lead them right into the lair of the [[Butcher]].
When the villagers had seen the horrors of this attempt to save Albrecht, Lazarus hid deep in the monastery labyrinth, where he remained. He was later defeated by an unnamed hero, who later became the new mortal host for the [[Lord of Terror]].
