There is no combat involved, and all the player needs to do is bring a potion down a flight of stairs to a crazed hermit apparently living outside of the [[Caverns of Aranae]]. The potion makes the hermit's blood taste sweet, which he wants in order to please his mistress, the [[Spider Queen]].

After agreeing to deliver the potion, Rodger will sell the player [[potion]]s and [[dye]]s at half the price of a normal vendor. Rodger is the first vendor in the game (in normal mode) who sells dyes.
