Skull gems were one of the seven types of * {{iw|gems gems found in Diablo II}}. Skull gems do not return in Diablo III, though the other six types of gems, [[Rubies]], [[Sapphires]], [[Topazes]], [[Diamonds]], [[Emeralds]], and [[Sapphires]], do.

There are many more quality levels of gems, and all gems have different stats in Diablo III than they did in Diablo II, though.
