Orek is an [[NPC]] added to Diablo 3 in the Reaper of Souls expansion pack. He is tied to the [[Nephalem Rift]] feature, and introduces your hero to Rifts, as well as providing the experience and gold reward after a Rift is completed (by killing the Rift Guardian).

Orek has limited dialogue and is not involved in any quests or lore during the gameplay or acts; he exists purely as part of the Nephalem Rifts in [[Adventure Mode]].

==Redeeming a Rift Bonus==

Players need not speak to Orek before opening a Nephalem Rift, which is done by clicking the Nephalem Obelisk.

It is essential to click on him after finishing the Rift though (by killing the [[Rift Guardian]]), since only then will he award the gold and experience you've earned. This also starts the thirty second countdown until the Rift closes, after which a new one can be opened by clicking the Nephalem Obelisk.
