 Itherael is the great lorekeeper of the High Heavens.  He does not possess the ability to see the future outright, but is able to see various possibilities and scenarios that could play out as the consequence of given actions.  Itherael is a being with vast knowledge, but is not particularly vocal and rarely speaks.  Interestingly, however, he cannot see the strands of fate that influence the destinies of mortals.  Consequently, the mortals of Sanctuary vex him and his fellow archangels.<ref>Blizzcon 2011 - Diablo III Lore Panel.
