'''Archon''' is a Mastery [[Wizard skill]] unlocked at [[clvl|Level]] 30, which transforms the Wizard into a being of pure energy. While in Archon form, the Wizard has access to a powerful set of unique Archon skills.

[[Archon Strike]] is an ability the Wizard gains access to ''only'' while in [[Archon]] form. This ability is basically a melee attack for the Wizard, which hits the ground, creating a short range explosion that damages any very nearby enemies. While [[Disintegration Wave]] is the most often used Archon form attack, Archon Strike is useful when the Wizard needs to stay in melee range, such as against [[Elites]] with the [[Mortar]] affix. It's also useful when Disintegration Wave would block too much of the vision, as that can make it difficult to see incoming ranged attacks.

* Archon Strike is available in all rune effects of Archon, as it's one of the three basic Archon spell abilities, along with [[Archon Blast]] and [[Disintegration Wave]].
